TOPIC: THE PATH OF THE LORD IS FULL OF ABUNDANCE. TEXT: PSALM 65:11 Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drips with abundance NKJV  Our God is a God of abundance. The Lord owns the world and the abundance thereof.  Psalms 24:1. He desires all his people to enjoy the abundance of His blessings. The book of John 10:10 says  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. KJV  These blessings are for this life and the life to come. A lot of blessings are waiting for us in heaven. Things that eyes have not seen, that ears have not heard, neither has it ever entered into the heart of men. There are three points to discuss in this sermon. They are: 1. The promise of abundance  2. The Path to our abundance and  3. The profit of abundant life. 1. THE PROMISE OF ABUNDANCE.  Every child of God can have the abundance of His blessings because He has promised us a lo

All Things were Created by Him

ALL THINGS WERE CREATED BY HIM Study Text:   Colossians 1:15-20 Introduction:  - The most important question that anyone can ask and explore is ‘Who is Jesus Christ?’ So many people do not know the right answer to that question.  Jesus Himself, when he walked on this earth turned to His disciples one day and said ‘Who do you say I am?’ It is a critical question.  - There is no One just like Jesus. He is vastly superior to and different from anyone else who has ever lived on this earth. In the city of Colosse the church was being infiltrated by those who had a distorted faith. Paul's approach to this problem is very instructive. He does not attack the heresy but emphasizes the truth. -  Many in our day know that there is a lot of wrong "out there" but they do nott know what the truth is. In our passage this morning Paul underlines the most important distinctive of our faith.  - Paul tells us that Jesus was more than one of the prophets. He speaks in much stronger terms: &q

Waiting Upon the Lord

TOPIC: WAITING UPON THE LORD Main Text: Isaiah 40: 26-31 Memory Verse Text: Isaiah 40: 31 If we are honest with ourselves, we have to admit that there is very much failure in our Christian living and service: 1. The Word of God convinces us of our failure.  Do we not oftentimes “faint” and have “no power” (verse 29)?  Do we not often “grow tired” and do we not frequently “fall” (verse 30)?   2.  Observation also convinces us of our failure.   We know it is true that we fail because our eyes tell us so as we look at ourselves.  Our own heart tells us that it is true.  How faint and weary we become, and how slow we are to learn the way of victory and power! –  Proverbs 14:10. What is the cause of our failure? 1. The primary cause is Ignorance of the Resources which are at our Disposal.  Isaiah 40:28 says: “Do you not know…?”  What are the resources at our disposal?  In verses 28 and 29 we read that “The Lord, the everlasting God, the Creator…” is offering to give us power and strength.

Keys to Victorious 2020

Image
KEYS TO VICTORIOUS 2020: Thanks be to God who always give us victory in Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 15: 57. If you will live vicariously in all areas of your life this year, you must be connected with Jesus. In Jesus Christ, you are not fighting for victory, but you are fighting from victory to victory. In Jesus Christ, you are not beginning again, but you are experiencing a new beginning, which is always with a greater glory than the previous. Haggai 2:9. There are six important keys for you to be victorious in this new year. I will be using each letter in the word TWENTY to signify a key. 1. T: Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Psalm 118:8, Psalm 125:1. There are 5 category of things to trust the Lord for in this year: I. Protection from the enemies and all evils. Isaiah 54:17 II. Provision of all your needs. Phil 4:19 III. Promotion in all areas of life. Psalm 3:3 IV. Peace that passes all understanding. Phil 4:7 V. Power that can do the impossible. Mark 16: 17. 2. W: Walk in o

2020 Our Year of Double Portion Blessings

Image
2020: OUR YEAR OF DOUBLE PORTION BLESSINGS The key verse from the Lord to you this year is: Isaiah 61:7  For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them. That is the great promise of God for you this year. In place of shame, reproach and humiliation, you shall have a double portion blessing as your inheritance and reward. All that is required from you is to draw closer to the Lord and serve Him wholeheartedly, and He will fulfill His words in your life. There are two basis for claiming the promises of God: 1.  If it is written, you can believe God for the fulfilment in your life and situation. 2.  If it has happened before, you can believe God for the performance of it in your life and situation after the order of previous performance. There are six references in the scriptures that can serve as our basis for believing God for double portion blessings th

The Life After Death

TOPIC: THE LIFE AFTER DEATH. TEXT: REV. 14:13. AND I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours and their works do follow them. KJV  If you try to meditate on this scripture, you will know that our lives do not end in the grave. When God made man, he breathed into him his eternal spirit which cannot die. At death only the body decays in the grave. Death looks very dreadful and everyone is afraid of it. It defeats and the dead has lost the battle of life. The Bible says that those who die in the Lord should be envied and celebrated. We should not be sorrowful over those who die in Christ. If you want to be celebrated at death then you must be born again and live the rest of your life for Jesus. DEATH is the doorway to three things.  1. To rest. They cease from their labours. Life here on earth is filled with activities but no more in the grave. Those

Sharing the Love of Christ with Others

Image
TOPIC: SHARING THE LOVE OF CHRIST WITH OTHERS Main Text: Mathew 14: 31-36 Memory Verse Text: Mathew 14: 35 No Christian can live successfully who does not constantly and systematically seek to share the love of the Lord Jesus Christ with those who do not know Him, and no Christian will ever begin to do this until he or she feels a real concern, a burden for the salvation of the multitudes of men and women who are lost (Luke 19:10), condemned already (John 3:18), and are under the wrath of God (John 3:36).  Do you feel any concern for the lost?  Have you any passion for souls?  Are you burdened as you think of your loved ones and friends and of the thousands of others who are not saved?  If we ask the question: What is the real need of the lost? – How does this portion of scripture answer it?  It tells us three things about the people of that day which are true of people today. 1. They were Diseased  Many people today may be religious, respectable and living morally decent and upright l
