The Path of the Lord is Full of Abundance

TOPIC: THE PATH OF THE LORD IS FULL OF ABUNDANCE.
TEXT: PSALM 65:11
Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drips with abundance NKJV
Our God is a God of abundance. The Lord owns the world and the abundance thereof.  Psalms 24:1. He desires all his people to enjoy the abundance of His blessings. The book of John 10:10 says
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. KJV
These blessings are for this life and the life to come. A lot of blessings are waiting for us in heaven. Things that eyes have not seen, that ears have not heard, neither has it ever entered into the heart of men.
There are three points to discuss in this sermon. They are:
1. The promise of abundance
2. The Path to our abundance and
3. The profit of abundant life.

1. THE PROMISE OF ABUNDANCE.
Every child of God can have the abundance of His blessings because He has promised us a lot of it in His words. He says I have come so that they can have the abundant life. These blessings were meant for you but if today you are not enjoying the abundant life, it may mean that you are ignorant of the blessings, or of the right actions that will position you to receive them.
God is not in shortage of resources for you to enjoy fully, but we are sometimes in shortage of faith to launch out and possess our possessions. Therefore you have to believe that it is His will to bless you and you will receive the blessings. Psalm 23:1 says the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. Also Ephesians 3:20 says the Lord can do exceedingly and abundantly above all that we can ask or think and Deuteronomy 8:18.
His blessings for us are far more than we can ever imagine.
The more we study the Bible the more we will learn that His abundance can never be exhausted and this knowledge will increase our faith in God.
This knowledge will help us to reposition ourselves in such a way that we become beneficiaries of these blessings.

2. THE PATH TO OUR ABUNDANCE.
What is the path we must follow if we want to enjoy this abundance. The first condition is that we must have surrendered our lives to Jesus, in other words we must be born again.
Other requirements include
(1) Live in righteousness 2 Corinthians 5:15
(2) Walking in obedience to his words. Joshua 1:8
(3) Be committed and be faithful to the work of the kingdom of God. Be a faithful member of a local church and participate in all the church programs. Then be committed to witnessing for Christ.
(4) Live a life of Thanksgiving and praises to God. Have a thankful heart. Hebrews 13:15
(5) Be faithful in giving sacrificial offerings to God  and also pay your tithes regularly. Be one of those who contribute for the work of God to be carried out.
(6) Be committed to a fervent prayer life.
(7) Be engaged in spiritual warfare by challenging the Devil through prayers. You don't need to be afraid of Satan because you are above him since the big God is living inside you.

3. THE PROFIT OF ABUNDANT LIFE.
Some of the profit of abundant life includes
(1) Our joy will be full.
(2) We will be victorious over sin and the flesh.
(3) We shall have all round blessings as our needs will be met.
(4) We will be victorious over the onslaught of the power of darkness as we are in constant battle with the Devil.
(5) We will enjoy eternal life and be a partaker of the Glorious inheritance reserved for you in heaven.
Pray for the grace of God for you to do all that is expected of you to be able to enjoy maximally the abundance of the blessings of God in this life, and at the end of your life here on Earth.
