Celebrating The Goodness And Faithfulness Of God

CELEBRATING THE GOODNESS AND FAITHFULNESS OF GOD

As we step into the concluding month in the year 2020, one of the best thing to do is to reflect on the goodness and faithfulness of the Lord in our individual lives, in our respective families, in the Churches of God, and in our nation as a whole, and return all the glory back to His name for the great things He had done, and for the greater things He will do for us in the coming year 2021 by His grace and mercy. Here is the word of the Lord for the month of December:

Psalms 145:1-10  I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.
Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.
Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.
One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.
I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works.
And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness.
They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness.
The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.
All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee.

The end of 2020 is a great time to look back and celebrate God’s goodness and faithfulness. Even if you find that the year has not been as you expected it to be, there is something for which to be thankful to God for. The gift of life and the gift of health.

“Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.” –James 1:17

You are encouraged to spend time during this season reflecting on what God has done for you in 2020, how He has preserved you and your household, especially in the midst of the global pandemic that claimed the lives of so many around the world, and for all His wonderful provisions and protections you enjoyed in the course of the year, and appreciate Him greatly for them.

The above scriptural portion is a celebration of God’s faithfulness and character. Over and over, David testifies to the difference it makes to follow the Lord and trust in His faithfulness. Whatever good has come in David’s life is a testimony to God’s presence and activity in His life. Even in difficulties, God has faithfully watched over David and shown Himself strong on David’s behalf.  You can also trust God by surrendering your life and your family afresh to God as we preparing to close this year and begin a new year very soon by His grace and mercy.

The Lord is righteous in all his ways and faithful in all he does. The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. –Psalm 145:17-18

The Lord who is  faithful and good will take care of your life and you will end the year in His goodness in Jesus name. He will  give you hope and confidence as you look ahead to His restoration in the year 2021 . He will lead you and your family as we walk into the new season in Jesus name.

Doors will open for you; even doors you never dreamed  about, or even thought about will open for your breakthrough and divine lifting in this month of December. In this month of December,  those things that you have been asking for since the beginning  of the year will begin to manifest and you will lay hold on the manifestations in Jesus name. In the name of Jesus, the presence of God will rest on you. Christ will be formed in you. The glory of God will rest upon you, rest upon your home, and rest upon your children, and the life of God will shine through you.  Whatever you lay your hands upon will prosper in the name of Jesus.

No sickness is permitted to stay in your body. No sickness is permitted to stay in your home. Whatever has been tormenting you before now, will  loose its hold, in Jesus name.

Whatever the enemy has stolen or destroyed in your life and your family shall be restored to you sevenfold, in the mighty name of Jesus. In this month, you will receive, you will experience, you will lay hold of the wonders and the miracles of the Lord, in your life and in your home, in the name of Jesus.

The power of the Holy Spirit will come anew over your life, over your home,  and over everything that matters to you as you cross over to a new year. You will have testimonies upon testimonies. You will have victory upon victory.  Your heart will be full of thanksgiving and your joy will not be ruined  in the mighty name of Jesus.

As the month of December will close the year 2020, every evil plan, plot, and program over you and your family will close permanently in Jesus name. And as this month will lead to the beginning of the year 2021, God will give you a glorious new beginning, new glory and new promotions in Jesus name. Have a blessed new month and a joyful transition into the new year.

Bishop Dr. Julius O. Soyinka.
